What Really Led Me to Create the Foundational Biblical Interpretation and Hermeneutics Course

The moment I became fed up

I need to be honest with you. I didn’t create the Foundational Biblical Interpretation and Hermeneutics Course because I think I’m a great Bible Teacher. I created it because I became fed up.

I love when I receive messages on social media. It gives me a chance to connect with others on a personal level. While responding to messages, I noticed a trend that went like this:

“My mentor told me that being autistic means I under the influence of a demonic spirit.”

“A family member told me that being neurodivergent means that I’m not praying hard enough.”

You get the point.

Fed up with people using Scripture to support their personal worldviews.

Fed up with people taking Scripture out of context to make others feel ashamed.

Fed up with Scripture being used in ways God did not intend.

This course was created because I wanted to share the skills I’ve learned in seminary with you, so that you can comprehend God’s Word and apply it to your life in the ways He intended.

I created this course so that when you’re studying God, you’ll know how to start by getting context for what you’re studying and interpreting it according to God’s Word, not the opinions of others.

I didn’t create this course because I think I’m qualified.

I’ve actually been TERRIFIED to publish this course, but I’ve felt a push from God like never before, so I’ve been working really hard to finish it.

And it’s ready!

Part One teaches what biblical interpretation and hermeneutic skills are, how to pick a Bible translation, get context, care for your neurodivergent needs, approach your Bible study time, and a lot more.
